Why Object Permanence?

To explain my site name, I have to introduce you to Sally. When we adopted her, she was a one-year-old street dog, so malnourished that she "missed a lot of developmental milestones," as our vet put it. I had the privilege of watching her discover the world as we rehabilitated her, which included seeing her learn that objects don't stop existing when they're hidden. 

I live for people having "aha!" moments when they learn, and getting to help a dog have them was truly a special honor.
