About Me

I'm Leslie, and creating learning experiences that stick is what I live for. With twenty years of experience across government, higher ed, and corporate training, I've seen what works-and what doesn't. I earned my doctorate in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Wyoming in 2020, researching immersive VR for inclusive language learning.

I'm Al ready and comfortable working with major LLM platforms and Al content creation tools to build modern, effective learning experiences.

Not a fan of AI? No worries. We can leave it out of the equation if you prefer.

Need an NDA? No problem. As a former DOD Secret and DOE Q clearance holder (recertifiable if needed), I'm also someone you can trust with your most sensitive projects.

Whether you need a thought partner for an end-to-end learning experience or a quick, targeted solution, l'm excited to hear about your project.

Work

2021-Present

Principal Instructional Designer @ HubSpot

At HubSpot, I built the company's first new manager onboarding program—43 e-learnings and 24 instructor-led sessions that earned an NPS of 71. I also launched a global coaching skill-up program (NPS 69) and increased Gong platform usage by 43% through hands-on training. By transitioning reinforcement programs to a meeting-in-a-box format, I helped sales and CS reps spend less time off the floor. Throughout, I partnered with VP+ stakeholders and used the New Kirkpatrick Scale to help teams prove real business impact.

2022-2023

Adjunct Faculty @
The Citadel

I transformed the Instructional Systems Design graduate course from a theoretical experience to a hands-on service learning model that let students help their community while applying what they learned.

2006 - 2021

Instructional Media Project Manager @
University of New Mexico

I designed and delivered complex training projects while managing a team of nine and a $220k operating budget. I trained over 100 instructors on maximizing Blackboard LMS capabilities—from video assignments to Quality Matters alignment—and created engaging content in Articulate, Camtasia, and Captivate. My work included conducting gap analyses, building original assets like videos and voiceovers, and ensuring all instruction followed adult learning and ID best practices.
